About Feathers Bird Shoppe

We are a small family bird breeding andboarding business, consisting of Me (Shay), My husband (Steve) and my best friend (Margot).  We have been breeding birds for about 10 years, and have a wide variety of birds including:

  • Meyers
  • Indian Ringnecks
  • Parrotlets
  • Keets (Large and Small)
  • Mini-Macaws
  • Alexandrine Parakeets
  • Conures


We take exra care with all of our babies, making sure they are sweet, friendly, well-adjusted, and socialized not only with people, but with other birds as well.  We try to place the proper bird with the proper family; not everyone is ready for a Macaw!  I truly believe that we do not "PICK" our birds, the right bird "PICKS" us. In all the years I have been doing this I have never sold a bird, baby or otherwise to someone who was not 100% happy with their pet. If you are ever unsure, I would hope that you could talk to me and together we can make the right choice for you and your family. I am always available to take phone calls and e-mails.

Boarding

In addition to selling birds, we also offer boarding so that you can enjoy your holiday while we care for your kids. The birds are in their in their own boarding room which is climate controlled. While they are here we can groom them (clip their nails and cilp their wings.) We have our own cages or you can bring your own cage (provided it is not too large).

Boarding costs $4 per day. This includes feeding, grooming, cleaning cages, and a fun & happy environment for your kids while you're away. There's even music playing in the boarding room!

If your bird is on a special diet, please provide their food for the duration of their stay.
